Welcome to Year 1!
Welcome back after the summer break. We hope that you have had a peaceful and relaxing break with your family. The children have settled in beautifully and we are really enjoying getting to know them. They are enjoying their new classroom, all the new toys and equipment and engaging with our new topic- All about me and my environment.
We are looking forward to a wonderful year ahead with your lovely children!

Owl Babies! We have been reading the story 'Owl Babies' as part of our Literacy lessons. The children had great fun making baby owls from playdough, retelling the story using owl puppets, sequencing the story in the correct order, making lollypop owl puppets and writing what the owls may be saying in speech bubbles.
Maths Fun! We have learning about 3D Shapes and their properties.Year 1 investigated which shapes are best to build towers with and why. The children loved building really tall towers.
